Interactive Media Solution LLC, a UAE based company from Dubai, wanted to make Over The Top (OTT) streaming platform as Netflix for TV Shows produced in Central and Eastern Arabia and popular across the Arab world.

The requirement was to develop cloud based application for streaming video on web browsers, mobile phones and tablets (Android and iOS) and setup boxes (Android TV and Apple TV). All application needed to be managed from one comprehensive management solution that combines CMS, analytics, reporting and configuration.  

Ingemark developed the backend application using Ruby on Rails and based on Spree Commerce, an open source eCommerce platform. Frontend application was developed using Angular JS. Platform was integrated with CDN (Content Delivery Network), payment gateway, push notification service and SMS gateway.

We also developed Android and iOS companion mobile apps. All streaming clients are using THEOplayer Universal Video Player. The platform is deployed on Amazon AWS, leveraging its flexibility and scalability, to ensure high availability and stability of service to its users.

The service was rolled out by Interactive Media Solution LLC in August of 2016 and is still up und running successfully since. The platform is continuously improved and every few months new features are added.
